Dr. Vellturo received a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Bradley Fellow in Public Economics. His fields of specialization include industrial organization and econometrics and he has worked in microeconomic consulting for thirty years. During this time, Dr. Vellturo has performed economic analyses in over 400 projects, across a wide range of industries. He has extensive experience in the valuation of intellectual property and in the assessment of economic injury/damages sustained as a result of patent, copyright, trademark, and/or infringement. Dr. Vellturo has also conducted extensive analyses relating to antitrust/competition policy issues, involving both private antitrust actions and reviews before antitrust enforcement agencies around the world, including the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the European Commission, the Australian and New Zealand competition authorities, and the Canadian Competition Bureau. He is recognized by legal industry journals as one of the top fifty antitrust economists worldwide.
